7 Fave Songs Of My Night With SHINHWA

[Fan girl mode]

16 JUNE 2012 WILL BE ONE OF MY BEST DAYS IN 2012

Yes, if you are a Kpop lover - there is no way you should not know who is SHINHWA.

SHINHWA is the legend of K-pop, alongside with great boy groups like H.O.T and G.O.D!

SHINHWA is the Backstreet Boys of Korea!

SHINHWA is the only band who've lasted so long (and famous) since they've debuted
- 14 years and counting!

SHINHWA is the band where all upcoming Kpop bands like to cover!

SHINHWA itself means LEGEND in Korean and Chinese!

SHINHWA IS LEGEND!

When I knew they were having a concert in Singapore I told myself "Rue, YOU.HAVE.TO.GO!" Yes, I've waited for 10 freaking years for them to hit our shores! Even if they might come to Malaysia soon, I would not want to take that risk - and so I bought the ticket. Heck it, I'm going to the concert alone and it doesn't matter! Kwaenchana!

Fans were amazing, although the orange sea weren't that much of a brilliant orange sea. But it's great to see that SHINHWA has lots of fans that the whole concert hall of Resort World Singapore was full house!

They sang many songs. You can briefly know which generation the fans are when you hear to what song they cheered to! People from my generation cheered towards old songs - like super old legendary songs. Young new Shinhwa fans went crazy over their current new song - Venus.

TOP 7 SONGS WHICH MADE ME WENT "WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" ONCE THEY STARTED:

#1 - Hey! Come On!
One of the opening song - which I must say it was a good pick! This is one old awesome song which a Taiwanese band actually copied it as well! Check out their hairstyle back in 2001, so old school! T.T But I got to admit that the now 30 year old-ish SHINHWA doesn't dance as vigorous as they were back then :)

#2 -Wild Eyes
My heart beat raced like crazy when I saw the chairs on stage I knew "Wild Eyes" is kicking in soon! And indeed it did and I jumped up from my chair! Crazy legendary songs where most of the current Kpop group love to cover! I assume it's because of the chairs!

#3 - Perfect Man
Any SHINHWA fans will know this song once the intro kicks in....and you'll go "cause you are the one......SHIN-HWA-CHANG-JO!!". Well I presume most of us love this song partly due to the high kick of the dance moves too! :P

#4 - Eusha Eusha!
This is one song I CAN NEVER IMAGINED THE 30 YEAR OLD-ISH SHINHWA IS SINGING RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY EYES! I kept on laughing, and laughing, and laughing until my tears oozed out. But yes - it's one lovely song I grew up with and I'm so glad that they sing it eventhough it might not suite their personality now that they are matured, successful middle-aged men who carry a different type of aura.

But they still acted cute when they went "Eusha Eusha!" and "HEY HEY HEY HO!". Can you imagine Eric and Jun Jin went "Eusha! Eusha!" at this age now? Way too hilarious and cute at the same time!

#5 - I Pray For You
Another lovely song which they dedicated to us, thanking us for constantly supporting them! The feeling is so different when I'm listening it L.I.V.E.

#6 - Once In A Lifetime
This is THE SONG I've been longing to hear it live in front of me. This is THE SONG that always inspired me to chase for my dreams. This is THE SONG that made me cry when I first hear it. This is THE SONG that blew me away with the opening of its MV with 6 awesome men walking towards me. This is THE SONG that also blew me away with the same 6 awesome men singing right in front of ME! This is THE SONG that made me teary on June 16, 2012!

Sad that Hye Sung has a little bad throat so he couldn't raise too much of his voice at parts where he used to in this song - or else it'll be perfect. But it's OK, because it's Hye Sung oppa, I forgive him :P

#7 -Venus
OK, how can I not include their top hit song of the year 2012!

This is the first concert where I didn't take much photos because of reason number one - I did not bring any gadgets with me. Reason number two - I just want to enjoy looking at them and singing along. When the concert was about to end, I rushed out to the VIP area and snap whatever I can and I'm glad I got my Jun Jin oppa and Eric oppa! :)

And this is also want I got and brought home to add to my treasure chest! :) SHINHWA post cards! Eric and Jun Jin is so drop dead hot!

Of course, like any other concerts SHINHWA has funny videos to share with fans during their break as well - and it's very touching. Random clips of their debut earlier days made me teary. A video of them gathering together to plan for a Return Tour was hilarious and funny. It's just amazing to see how much they've grown up, and amazing to know how long I've grew up together with them :)

SHINHWA - YEAR 1998.
To be honest - I don't know what is Min Woo doing..some sort of Kung Fu?
If ever they are coming to Malaysia - I WILL BUY VIP TICKETS!

[fan girl mode ends]

As I'm writing this, I feel all so teary.

Bang & Zelo In Malaysia On Jan 14!

I have to admit it is not easy to catch up with new Kpop groups. Korea is good in releasing good performers! Don't you feel the same way as I am?

Bang & Zelo is not very new to hardcore Kpop fans but I'm very sure they have loads of space for increasing popularity down year 2012! Just watch them, they are good. Somehow they give me a vibe of GD and TOP, perhaps of the similar vocals? Nevertheless, they have their unique strengths in their own way! Zelo is young, 15!

I'm not sure am I in time for this as I'll be rushing to FT Island concert which starts at 8pm. Nevertheless, I love Bang & Zelo's debut song - NEVER GIVE UP.

Sharing with you here and yes, let's never give up on our dreams! CHEERS!

Jung Sung Ha Proved Talent Comes With Persistence Too!

Many guys play guitar to woo girls.
Many of them treat guitar as an accompanying instrument or a sing-a-long tool.
Many of them prefer to go all crazy and jam with electronic guitars.
But this one young man makes everyone view acoustic guitar in a different way. He is 정성하Jung Sung Ha!

I'm so fortunate to get free entrance to Jung Sung Ha's Live in Kuala Lumpur performance at UCSI today! I've always loved his plays on Youtube and meeting him in person finally is so different. He played right in front of my eyes! This young chap has such amazing talents in him, oh so gifted!
He's that person who can play by ears and make things different from the norm. I like his arrangement and somehow his music just makes me smile. Quoting from his official website "I used to not have tabs for the music that I played in my videos. I just listen and pick them up directly from the sound source in videos available on the internet."

Unfortunately I was a little late so I missed some of the front part, I guessed the opening would be surprising. :) We weren't allowed to take pictures or record so I only managed to take less than 5, where out of them only 2 made it to the "OK this pic is at least clear" stage. My compact camera doesn't work quite well under the dimmed light I supposed.

Sung Ha performed with his acoustic guitar as well as ukulele. Songs ranged from famous english pop songs, to Kpop covers like 2NE1's 'Lonely', Hotel California's 'Eagle', and even our all time favourite Super Mario's theme song mashed up! My favourite would the theme soundtrack from 'Pirates of the Carribean'!

No doubt, everyone cheered as his fingers moved on his guitar strings at such speed which I would never be able to do. At the end of the performance we had an autograph session and I get to take a picture with him!

I'm very sure Sung Ha is not just all talent. Talent is a gift, but a gift have to be mould into an extraordinary gift as well. No one can play a song tip top perfect without consistent practices and constant improvement. This evening Sung Ha showed us that such skills are not built overnight, but over years of pushing himself to go over the boundaries that he'd set, and consistently breaking boundaries!

He'd been an inspiration to most of the aspiring musicians in the room, and to people who love music, like me ;)

Feel free to enjoy some of his awesome plays on his Youtube.

Or you can also view some of the videos below, my favourite picks :P

Thanks for dropping by! Hope you like the videos!

2PM Hands Up Concert Gets 10 Out Of 10!

10 OUT OF 10: Hot bunny girls dancing to 2PM's debut song '10 out of 10'. Nostalgic!

2PM Hands Up concert was amazing! That's why I rated it as 10 out of 10! 10점 만점에 10점!! The energy of these 6 young men was powerful and I can't agree more to how good they were at interacting with their fans and fulfilling their needs - hot smiles, slick moves, abs flashing moments, cute acts, music talents, english conversation - these cool and cute guys totally swept girls off the floor on Nov 25 at Stadium Negara!

My heart was pumping like crazy when the introduction video started playing 2PM's clips and boomed everyone with the scene below:
BE PREPARED: Concert organisers hinting us that something great is behind

My cousin and I were betting that they were behind that white clothe which was hanging before the concert started. She was so right! When the clothe fell the whole stadium was cheering as if we're going to die (choi), because there stood 6 figures which we are so familiar with - 2PM!
2PM POWER: Opening stage rocks!

I thought they were going to rock all Hottest fans with 'Hands Up' but yeah they're always with surprises. I guessed they reckoned that they have to be as hot as possible (LoL) that's why the opening song was "Hot", which was proudly written and composed by the vocalist of the team, Junsu!
HOT MEETS HOTTEST: Hello fans! We're here!

All of us knew that JYP didn't started 2PM as a pretty boy band, but as a boyband who walks the more mature path. Thus they never forget to integrate some sexy blood pumping performances which made the fan girls (and boys) screamed with pain; or perhaps excitement!

TOUCH ME: Nichkhun with one of the dancers

I super love one part where the girl dancers unbuckled their white shirt off and then took a round behind the boys and stripped open their shirts from behind! Fans SCREAMED.
ABS ABS ABS: 2PM members are well built.
Too bad the lightings did not allow me to capture better pictures.

Of course, what completes a cool guy is when they are romantic enough, right? That's when 2PM showed their soft side when they sang "I Can't" with the audiences. The concert organisers tried to make the stadium as 'fairy tale' as possible, with shimmering 'stars' projected throughout the whole stadium hall. At least that made me felt like I was in some K-drama! So, organisers, it worked for me!
WE KNOW YOU WANT IT: So we'll sing you some love songs.

And..give you some roses!
VALENTINE IS TONIGHT, NOT FEB 14: Chan Sung and the rest of the members giving out pretty roses to the fans. Nichkhun was throwing towards my direction but I didn't get it!!!

The members also had their solo/duet sessions which gave the audiences more opportunities to focus on individual performing skills, and...not forgetting, how hot they look on stage!
FIRM BICEPS: Wooyoung looks much more mature than his age here

BACK TO 60s: Nichkhun in his checkered outfit when he performed a duet with Taecyeon

PUT YOUR HANDS UP: Junsu's personal time with the fans.

I'M THE SWORD MASTER: Chan Sung showing off his martial arts skills which made the fans' heart skipped a bit.
That seemed dangerous!

I always like how concerts are more exciting and fun when it's not just about the performances, but also bringing in other personal touch elements. 2PM Hands Up Concert didn't forget to include funny clips and lovely gestures from the members themselve! They actually showed us a video clip of their cat, which narrated a story of all the 6 members at home. I'll share some snapshots here:
PAIN OF COMPOSITION: This clip actually showed us how hard it is for Junho to compose a great song and that he got his erotic lyrics from his erotic dreams, which later on got rejected by their Manager!

JUST ONE BITE: Nichkhun was on a strict diet and work out session so he forbidded himself to eat pizzas along with the other 5. However when the other 5 were gone to check on Miss-A, the pizza actually "seduced" him. So he was convincing himself that one bite is enough. In the end, he ate more than 3 pieces and finished it off!

PROUD ARTIST: Taecyeon is a great artist and he drew his OkCat and thought of selling it to the rest. But no one took interest at all and it ended up as ragged clothes in their house.

NO MONEY: Junsu was showed as someone who insisted to eat on the pizzas without paying!

The concert also projected clips behind the scenes during training and preparation for the concert and press conference, and past performances. How lovely!

Special effects always mesmerise the audience. Although 2PM did not have great effects like Super Junior's Super Show 4 in Korea, but at least they had one, which was a quite-oftenly-used-idea. Nevertheless, it looked great on Nichkhun!

Watch the video here. I captured a short one though.

All good things have to come to an end. When 2PM announced that it will be their last stage, yeah the feeling is drop dead bad! They just disappeared into the dark. Although all of us knew they would be coming out with another ending song but I didn't know it will be...quite fairytale like too! Progress as below!
PERFECT ENDING: Hands Up Malaysia Tour ended with fans wanting more!

Yes, with fans wanting more, 2PM already promised them earlier that.....

Ending the post with some extra random shots. For more pictures please view my Facebook Fanpage here!

FINALE: We 2PM will definitely be back!

Yes we're very sure of that and we'll definitely be waiting for more hot concerts with 2PM! I'm sure all Hottest fans agreed that they'd put up a great show! 맞죠?

Till then, feel free to watch the only complete video I had yesterday! :)

Thanks for reading! More pictures HERE.

Alexander First Ever Solo Showcase, in Malaysia!

This awesome rapper can converse in 7 language: Spanish, Portuguese, Cantonese, Japanese, Mandarin, Korean and English. Still unbelievable to me. But I believe it's true for his mixed parentage background. :D

Anyway I missed it when Alexander came to visit 3rd Wave Music Rally at FGA church. Still feels a little weird to be praising the Lord with your favourite artiste!

I SING FOR GOD: Brian Joo from FTTS & Alexander performing at FGA Church

For those who missed Alexander during the Christian event, you are still in time to purchase his first ever solo showcase in KL here which will be up and roaring on Dec 18th! What a nice Christmas gift to ourselves, eh?

Are you going?

Super Junior Show Us Hard Work Does Pay Off!

MORE THAN JUST HALLYU STARS: We are multi-talented Super Junior!

I enjoyed Super Show in Korea! That was Super Show 3! Today, Nov 20th. Super Junior showed everyone that they are more than just typical hallyu idols at the Olympic Stadium when they kicked off their 'Super Show 4' global tour in Seoul! *SCREAMS*

What would you think the atmosphere is like if you were in a Super Junior concert and the stadium rock-started with "Superman" as the opening song? Yeah, I heard you SCREAM!!!! That's totally how the concert started and if I were there I would had scream my lungs out!

REACH FOR ME: Si Won high up and above in the crane!

I remember when I was in Super Show 3 in Korea, the whole stadium went on a crazy frenzy mode everyone was just so hyper all over! The lightings were magnificent, the boys were drop dead hot, the moves were drop dead gorgeous, the songs were drop dead awesome, the smiles were drop dead killing!

It was mentioned that Super Show 4 was another high scale production concert with moving stages, great colours, laser lights, moving cranes, even a colourful fountain which shot up 6m high! I can imagine the fan girls reaching their hands up to the oppas who appeared to be near to them on stage or in the cranes!

DROP DEAD GORGEOUS: Dong Hae looking great in glasses even at night

I really missed "U" and "Don't Don" and I was so glad that they performed those 2 songs again during Super Show 3, to my amazement they rechoreographed those songs and performed during Super Show 4 again! Other songs includes "Sorry Sorry", "Mr Simple"; and many of their songs from the first to their current album..which lasted for 4 high-high hours.

I'M JOINING THE ARMY SOON: Probably that's why Lee Teuk played with such emotions

For those who've been to Super Show 3, you would have remembered that they had this touching clip of this little girl's dream of swimming with the fishes, came true. :) No doubt, SM is good with making people teary. Super Show 4 did not forget to have these teaser music videos, concept photos, self-camera videos and all to share with everyone and that was what made the whole stadium go all hyper again, or, emotional ;)

DON'T MESS WITH ME: Sung Min in his moves

If you remembered Super Show 3, they thanked all the fans, in various language, don't they? Korean, Japanese, Thai, Chinese, English etc etc. With as much as 22,222 fans in the stadium, including fans from Japan, China, US, England, France, Asia and Europe, I'm very sure they did the same thing as well.

We all know leader Lee Teuk is joining the army soon and he expressed that Super Show 4 is especially special to him. No worries Teukie, we love you so much and we'll wait :)

SUJU KING OF BALLAD: Kyu Hyun mesmerizing the fans

This huge scale concert ended with a bang! Most importantly, it wowed fans that they are not just idols who could sing and dance like any other idol; but they are talented musicians and performers who have set the benchmark for other boy bands out there.

I personally feel that they were once like any normal boy band, but they had put numerous effort to upgrade themselves in various area; apart from just singing, dancing, hosting and modelling. This brought them to where they are now and they truly deserve it.

While writing this it just reminded me one simple thing in life: "Work hard and you'll able to harvest what you've diligently invested in". No matter you're an ordinary worker, or a celebrity, you get what you worked hard for. Look at Super Junior when they started out as Super Junior 05, look at what they've done throughout the years, look at where they are now. You'll realise that hard work pays off, it's worthwhile.

Super Junior will be heading to Osaka, then touring the world. Not sure when's Malaysia's turn. All the best!
